For AI assistants

Your AI assistant
makes the film.

Connect Frame24 to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or a coding agent in about two minutes. Your assistant understands the product, captures your real UI, agrees the story with you and hands back a finished, narrated product film.

In plain terms

What Frame24 is
The Frame24 MCP server connects coding agents to Frame24, an AI product video generator: the agent researches the product from its own codebase and real interface, and Frame24 writes, animates, narrates and renders an on-brand film — no avatars, no templates, no timeline.
Best for
People and software teams who want an assistant that already knows their work to make, review and improve a product demo or launch film from the same conversation.
How it differs
A website crawler sees your marketing page. A coding agent sees the product: every screen, the real feature names, the design tokens and the logo files. Frame24 gives that agent a film crew.

Your first request

Ship the code.
Then make the film.

The example above is a finished Frame24 product film. Connect your assistant below, open your own product's repository, and use this prompt to start yours. The assistant will confirm access and show you the story and cost before rendering.

Try one revision

Name the scene.
Describe the change.

Open your Frame24 project and name the scene you want to change. Use this example request, then review the proposed revision and credit cost before approving regeneration.

Install

Copy, sign in, ask.

Pick your agent. Every client signs in the same way: a browser tab opens, you sign in to Frame24 and click Allow. No API key, nothing to paste back.

1Run in your terminal.

claude mcp add --transport http frame24 https://studio.frame24.app/api/mcp

2Start Claude Code, type /mcp, choose frame24 and Authenticate. Sign in to Frame24 in the browser tab that opens and click Allow.

3Open your product's repository and ask: “Make a 30 second product film of this app with Frame24.”

ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini? Add Frame24 as a custom connector — no repository needed; the assistant interviews you and captures your app in Frame24's secure browser. Step-by-step guides with pictures →

How it works

What the agent does, in order.

The same wizard a person walks through in the app — driven from your repository instead.

01

Tells you the plan, then asks

It explains what will happen and why it needs each kind of access, confirms the public website — repositories are full of staging and preview URLs — and how much of the codebase it may use. After every step you get a clear status: working, waiting for you, ready for your review, or done.

02

Learns the product

It reads the code for what the product does, who it is for and what the features are really called, creates the Frame24 project, adds those facts to the knowledge base every script is written from, and sets your exact brand from the design tokens and logo files.

03

Captures the real UI, as a journey

It clicks through one user journey and captures each screen as a real component — from the app running locally, or in Frame24's secure browser where you sign in yourself. Then it shows you every captured screen and flags anything the story needs that is missing. Your password never reaches the agent; nothing is installed in your product.

04

Stops for you at three checkpoints

Frame24's understanding of the product (and the images it found on your site), the captured screens against the story, and the scene-by-scene storyline with its cost. Nothing renders until you approve.

05

Renders and hands back the link

It tells you the cost first. Frame24 animates the scenes, records narration, music and sound, and renders the film; you get an email when it is ready, and the agent gives you the link.

06

Ships the launch kit

It can put the film in your repo and embed it on your landing page (downloads follow your plan), make 9:16 and square versions, and write the launch posts. Next time you ship, ask for a film of just the new feature.

Real components

Your interface, not a picture of it.

A screenshot is faithful and frozen. A DOM capture is the screen as elements and text, so the film can use it the way the product is used.

The agent uses DOM capture when it can run the app, and screenshots otherwise. Every component reports which one it is.

Safe by design

As safe as the app itself.

OAuth, no keys

You sign in to Frame24 and approve the agent in your browser. There is no API key to copy, store or leak.

Your permissions, no more

Every tool goes through the same API as the web app, with the same checks on access, credits and paid options. Admin functions are unreachable.

It asks first

A project is only created once you have confirmed the website and how much of the codebase to use. Rendering and share links are marked as actions that need your approval.

Links that expire

Local files and captured screens travel through signed links tied to you, one project and a short time window, re-checked on every request.

Straight answer

What this is, and what it is not.

What Frame24 does

  • A remote MCP server for coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI, Windsurf), and a custom connector for ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini
  • Research from your own codebase and real UI
  • The full Frame24 pipeline: storyline, scenes, voice, music, render
  • Everything the Frame24 app can do, with your permissions

What Frame24 is not

  • A library you install in your product
  • A way to hand-code animation — use Remotion for that
  • An avatar or talking-head generator
  • A separate price: films cost the same credits as in the app

Questions

Answered plainly.

Is Frame24 a Remotion MCP server?

No. Frame24’s MCP server directs a managed product-film workflow. Remotion’s framework and agent skills let you build and maintain video code. Both can work with coding agents; choose Remotion for composition-source ownership and Frame24 for a finished branded film you direct through a managed project.

How do I revise a film from Claude Code or another coding agent?

Open the existing Frame24 project in your agent, identify the scene and describe the change. Ask for a proposed revision and its cost before approving regeneration. The agent uses your account permissions; it should not invent UI, new product features or customer results.

How do I add Frame24 to Claude Code?

Run `claude mcp add --transport http frame24 https://studio.frame24.app/api/mcp`, start Claude Code, type /mcp, choose frame24 and Authenticate. Your browser opens; sign in to Frame24 and click Allow. There is no API key to copy.

Can I use Frame24 in Claude or ChatGPT?

Yes. Frame24 works inside ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini as a connected app, and in coding agents through the same MCP service. Without a codebase the assistant works from your website and interviews you; for real product screens it opens your app in Frame24's secure browser, where you sign in yourself and it captures the journey.

Can Codex or Cursor make a product video?

Yes, with the Frame24 MCP server connected. The agent does the research and the direction from your codebase; Frame24 writes the storyline, animates the scenes, records narration, music and sound, and renders the MP4. Codex connects with `codex mcp add frame24 --url https://studio.frame24.app/api/mcp` and `codex mcp login frame24`; Cursor with the Add to Cursor button above.

Does the agent use screenshots or my real UI?

Your real UI, when it can run the app. The agent opens each screen locally with Playwright and sends it to Frame24 as a DOM capture — real text and elements, so the film can click actual buttons, highlight a control or re-type a label. For a native or mobile app, or one that will not run, the agent renders your own components from the code — a Storybook, a web build or a small harness page — and captures that. Frame24 does not take screenshots or screen recordings.

Is it safe to connect a coding agent to Frame24?

It connects through OAuth: you sign in to Frame24 and approve the agent, and it then acts with exactly your permissions — nothing an agent does is possible that you could not do in the app. It cannot reach admin functions, every paid step spends your credits as the app does, and it must have your answers before it creates a project, and rendering is marked as an action that needs your approval.

What does it cost to make a film with a coding agent?

The same as in the app. The 3-day card-required trial includes three 30-second films; downloading a finished film is $20, and plans start at $39 a month for 450 credits. The agent's own model usage is billed by your agent provider, not by Frame24.

When is the Frame24 MCP the wrong choice?

When there is no codebase to learn from — a marketing site built by an agency, say — the web app with your URL gives the same film with less setup. And if you want to hand-code every frame yourself, Remotion's own agent skills are the better tool; Frame24 is for getting a finished, directed film rather than writing the animation.

Is there an MCP server that lets a coding agent create product videos?

Yes: Frame24. Its MCP server at studio.frame24.app/api/mcp lets a coding agent make a finished, narrated product film of your own app — the agent learns the product from your codebase, captures your real screens, checks the storyline with you, and Frame24 renders the MP4 with voiceover, captions and music. You sign in once in the browser; there is no API key.

How do I generate a product video from Claude Code or Cursor?

Connect Frame24's MCP server, then ask for a film in plain words. In Claude Code run `claude mcp add --transport http frame24 https://studio.frame24.app/api/mcp` and authenticate with /mcp; in Cursor use the Add to Cursor button on this page. The agent reads your code for real feature names and brand colours, captures your screens, shows you the storyline and starts the film once you approve it.

Which AI video tools work with VS Code, Windsurf, or Gemini CLI?

Frame24 does: the same MCP server connects to VS Code (agent mode), Windsurf and Gemini CLI, as well as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor, with the install steps for each on this page. Each client signs in to Frame24 in the browser on first use, and every film is made from your real product and brand rather than stock footage.

One command.
One sign-in. One film.

Create your Frame24 account, connect your agent, and ask it for a 30-second film of your product.
